Short Autobio
Hey guys, my name is John Yoo and I am from Huntsville, Alabama. I was actually born in Seoul, South Korea, but I moved to the U.S. when I was just 1. Currently I am a first-year undergraduate student at Duke University. I am in Duke's Pratt School of Engineering, but I am not sure what I want to major in. Right now I am a Biomedical Engineering major, but I am looking to either switch to Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or switch out of the engineering school entirely and pursue Computer Science or Economics in the Trinity College of Arts and Sciences. I am also planning on receiving a minor in Music, as I play the violin. I am in the Duke Symphony Orchestra, and I plan on getting involved in other organizations in my college life. Outside of school, I love to hang out with friends, play basketball, and work out whenever I can.
Interesting Facts
-I am twins, fraternal to be exact, with my brother James. He attends Bowdoin College currently.
-I do not have my Korean citizenship anymore as South Korea requires mandatory military service for 2 years for men ages 18-28. I have only been a pure U.S. citizen for a few years now.
-I love kbbq, and if you have never tried it before, please go do yourself a favor and eat some of it because its really good :)
