About Me
Hi there! My name is Neel Prabhu, and I am an undergraduate student in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I am a member of the Class of 2019. Before I came here, I went to Green Hope High School in Cary, North Carolina; you could say that I am a bit of a local.
Current Courses
For the Fall 2015 semester, I am taking the following courses:
- EGR 103 (Computational Methods in Engineering)
- CHEM 101 (Core Concepts in Chemistry)
- MATH 212 (Multivariable Calculus)
- PSYCH 101 (Introduction to Psychology)
Activities
I love classical and jazz music. I am currently a member of the Duke Symphony Orchestra in the clarinet section, and we're all excited to play works by Tchaikovsky and Beethoven this semester. In addition, I enjoy running, golf, and frisbee.
Grand Challenges for Engineering Articles
Here is an article that I found on the Grand Challenges for Engineering page about carbon nanotubes and their applications in medicine:
- Carbon Nanotube Implants Could Help Diagnose Medical Conditions, Alexandra Ossola, Popular Science, updated 24 August 2015, accessed 9 September 2015 (Engineer Better Medicines)
Favorite MATLAB Demonstration
My favorite MATLAB Demonstration was 3-D Plots, since we are working with three-dimensional plots and surfaces in my Multivariable Calculus class.
