About Me
I am currently a student at Duke University planning on pursuing a BSE degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Favorite MATLAB demo
My favorite demo was the "Viewing a Penny" script because the plot created when the script runs looks like an image of a penny when viewed from the top down, but when the plot is manipulated and viewed at different angles, one can see the shape of the plot necessary to produce that image. The different colorations on the penny all result from variations in the height of the three-dimensional function and the change in the coloring of the function as it changes in height. I thought the demo was an interesting look at how a digital image, such as that of a penny, can be created.
