This is Isabelle Angela Brogna's user page! Mi casa e tu casa, but please remove your shoes before stepping inside.
What's in a Name?
My first name is Isabelle, pronounced like Isabel, just with another 'l' and 'e' at the end. Angela is my middle name, I'm getting in the hang of writing it on assignments, but it's not something I go by. And Brogna... that's the name that ALWAYS trips people up. It's Italian, and pronounced just as the last syllable in lasagna is pronounced: Bro'-nya.
What Makes Me Tick
- Biomedical Engineering Clearly I am an engineer... this is an EGR 103 assignment after all! In particular, drug delivery and instruments, but I'm open to other fields.
- Tennis My sweaty activity of choice. Anyone know where I can get a racquet strung around here?
- Rhode Island Home Base. Every now and then, you'll here me say, "That's wicked!" Blame it on this.
- World Religions I'm shooting for a minor in world religions! Please don't ask why cause I won't have a coherent answer, only some lofty idyllic blah!
- DUKE Any explanation necessary?
- Minor Acts of Destruction ...no comment
- and also cats, hats, snow, frats, beaches, Italian food, good movies, piano solos by Philip Glass, and nail polish.
Grand Challenge
Of all the grand challenges identified by the NAE, the one that interests me the most is making solar power more economical. The article I have chosen is:

Viewing a Penny
Of all the demonstrations, I liked Viewing a Penny the best. I was expecting a cylinder to appear in the figure window, and was actually suprised to see the image appear instead!
