Grand Challenges for Engineering

The Grand Challenges for Engineering are 14 goals set by the National Academy of Engineers as the most important engineering challenges at present. The goals include environmental and energy-related challenges, such as providing energy from fusion, health-related concerns, including to engineer better medicines, and security goals, including preventing nuclear terror, among others. MATLAB Demonstrations

Of the examples found in the MATLAB documentation, I specifically liked the one on viewing a penny. I thought that the multiple perspectives gained by the different ways the image of the penny was analyzed were interesting. The different methods of analysis proved that MATLAB is capable of providing different visual interpretations of one set of data.
