MATLAB Demonstrations: "Viewing a penny"

My favorite of the MATLAB Demonstrations is "Viewing a penny". This demonstration in MATLAB shows how to visualize the surface data using MATLAB. I've always been interested in visualization of certain data. This example showed me how to use 'contour plots', 'pseudo color plots' (with a colormap) (and which forms a photography-like image of the penny) and 'surface plot with a colormap' (which creates a 3-D colored surface plot).
