About Me

My name is Zayd Ahmed. I am a freshman majoring in Biomedical Engineering. I was born in Mount Vernon New York, however, when I was four years old, my family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico; Tucson, and then finally Phoenix, Arizona, where I have lived for the past eight years. My parents are both originally from India and immigrated to the United States a couple of years before I was born. Therefore, I have a lot of family in India whom I visit occasionally.

Pronunciation

Although my name is spelled Zayd it is pronounced somewhat like 'Zed,' the British and Canadian equivalent of the letter Z. The name Zayd comes from an Arabic word which means something along the lines of "abundance." My last name, Ahmed, is pronounced "Ah-med."

Favorite Matlab Demo

I liked the demos and the help pages because they allowed me to better understand the basics of Matlab. I especially liked the Graphing 2-D and 3-D plot demos because they assisted me with plotting which is a crucial part of Lab 4. This is because this lab requires us to make several plots. Therefore, I will certainly reference these demos as I begin this assignment.
