Where I am From

I am from the East Coast of Florida. I come from a sea-side town where lots of fishing, boating, and swimming happens. Seafood is a very popular meal and going to the incredible beaches is a favorite activity in the area.

My Interests

I am interested in majoring in Mechanical Engineering and eventually I would like to earn my Aerospace certificate upon graduation. I have always dreamed of becoming part of NASA or SpaceX on account of watching the launches fly into the night sky over my house. I am thinking of joining the AERO team as of right now.

Name Pronunciation

My name is pronounced SYD-NE just like as in Sydney, Australia. I use She/Her/Hers pronouns. I also go by just Syd as a nickname.

Grand Challenges for Engineering Article

I chose to find an article related to the grand challenge of enhancing virtual reality. I think that this is an issue which is going to be greatly expanded upon as the years go by. There are many companies working towards solutions for this problem, creating new products and experimenting with new technology. One of those companies is Meta, originally stemming from the company Facebook created by Mark Zuckerberg in 2004.
