Hi everybody :) My name is Avni Patel, pronounced "of-knee" and "puh-tell" (I am rather crude with phonetics). I'm new to the world of wiki and am exploring how far I can push my technological limitations. In essence, this is the most computer savvy I have been in my life. Sad, but true.

Matlab offers several interesting demonstrations. In particular, I was amazed by "Earth's Topography." I still cannot fathom how Matlab is connecting points that are not arranged in any pretty manner or that can be easily defined by a curve or function. I did not expect that this was a feature possible with Matlab...it seems a long way to go from matrices to maps.
