About Me

I grew up in a rural area in Western New York and graduated from Lyndonville High School there in June 2013. I have no siblings, but my parents filled that gap with dogs (four, to be exact). My dad is a civil engineer with the New York State Department of Transportation and my mom is a foreclosure agent with the Department of Housing and Urban Development. For many years, I was a girl scout and I showed dogs competitively. Also, I was (and still am, through Duke University Marching Band) heavily involved in music.

Favorite MATLAB Demo--Homework 2

My favorite demonstration in MATLAB, as discovered through Homework 2, is the Loma Prieta Earthquake. I particularly like this example because it shows and explains how to use so many features in MATLAB in terms of a practical application, such as one might experience in an EGR103 problem. More specifically, this demo teaches the user about manipulating variables, using and manipulating subplots, graphing in different styles, analyzing graphical information, using three-dimensional plots, and more; most of which are things that I did not previously know how to do.
