Favorite Matlab Demonstration

My favorite matlab demonstration was "Viewing the Penny". This demonstration walked through how to draw different types of plots to model the same penny. I found this demonstration to be extremely interesting because it used real data acquired by the National Institutes of Standards and Technology. In particular, I found it interesting that matlab could produce such detailed plots with only a few lines of code. The penny plots demonstrated matlab's ability to break down and simplify large data sets into familiar visuals. Even though matlab had no idea what a penny looked like, it was able to take data from the mold used to mint pennies and create the image of the penny in 2D and 3D.
