My name is Allen Hawkes (pronounced 'a-llen hox)

Pre-College

Well I was born in Melbourne, Florida and lived there for about 6 weeks. After that, my family moved to Durham, then to Cary, NC where I lived ever since with 3 younger sisters. For my high school years, I went to Apex High School.

College

I'm a Duke University Pratt School student, and will possible be studying mechanical engineering, physics, and Spanish.

Engineering Grand Challenges

The Engineering Grand Challenges are 14 of the worlds most pressing issues faced by engineers that are determined by the National Academy of Engineering. One of them is to make solar energy economical. Favorite Demo

My favorite Matlab demo is the Three-Dimensional Knot plot demo because it shows how to make what is probably one of the most interesting graphs I've ever seen.
