MATLAB Demonstrations

The most interesting MATLAB demonstration for me was "Loma Prieta Earthquake." It was fascinating to see MATLAB in action, doing real-world analysis on a real earthquake, showing acceleration plots as well as both 2D and 3D graphs of the trajectories and accelerations. I liked seeing that MATLAB is applicable both inside and outside of the classroom. The most intriguing part of the demonstration for me was the last figure, which showed velocities three-dimensionally in relation to position (East/West vs North/South). I enjoyed going through this demonstration because it gave me a glimpse into all the things that MATLAB can do. After working with it for only a week or two, I am still learning the basics but this demonstration got me excited for all the future commands and skills we will learn.
