About Me

I am from California and plan on majoring in electrical engineering. I am also considering a double major with physics, but I'll see how classes go first. In my spare time (if I have any, that is), I enjoy programming and chess.

Name Pronunciation

My name is pronounced the way you think it is, i.e. "LOW-gan SOO." Simple enough.

MATLAB Demonstrations

Some of my favorite demonstrations are those that solve and analyze real life problems. These include the Loma Prieta Earthquake and the Traveling Salesman Problem. I like seeing how MATLAB can be programmed to solve complicated problems. For whatever reason, I also like computer generated imagery, and for that reason, I like the graphing demonstrations, in particular the Klein Bottle whose geometry I have yet to understand. Last, perhaps my favorite demonstration of all is Conway's Game of Life. It fascinates me the way simple rules can go on to create complicated designs.
