About me

I am a freshman planning on majoring in Biomedical Engineering (and possibly minoring in Public Policy or Political Science). I was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and lived there my whole life before coming to Duke.

Pronouncing my name

Lots of people struggle to pronounce my name initially—as my name is pronounced as the Spanish version of Jaime rather than the English version—so I always tell them to say 'hi' (as in the greeting) followed by 'meh.'

Hobbies

Besides spending time with my friends, I really enjoy lifting weights at the gym and also playing Padel. Other than that, I really enjoy playing with my two dogs and listening to Latin American music (my favorite artists are Luis Miguel and Christian Nodal).
