About Me

Hi, my name is Raphael Kim, and I am a Freshman Undergraduate at Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering. I plan on majoring in Mechanical Engineering and possibly minoring in Computer Science.

Favorite MATLAB Demo

My favorite demonstration from MATLAB was the sliding puzzle, because it was an interactive demonstration of what MATLAB is capable of. This particular demonstration also had some entertainment values as well.

Grand Challenges for Engineering

The following article describes how the successful construction of a quantum computer in the near future can lead to the fall of today's secure encryption systems such as RSA, and perhaps give rise to infallible quantum cryptography.
