About Me

I am an undergraduate student from Maryland in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I hope to major in Electrical and Computer Engineering, while simultaneously fulfilling the Pre-Med requirements for entrance into medical school. I also play varsity soccer as #18 for the Blue Devils.

MATLAB Demonstrations

The traveling salesman demonstration was my favorite, for it showed the full strength of MATLAB in multiple areas. For example, through code, MATLAB quickly generated a simple solution to a complex problem that would be difficult to do on paper. Whereas a person may take hours to determine the shortest path for the salesman on paper, the MATLAB script was able to find the most efficient path in under a minute. Furthermore, it displayed the information with visuals and animation, making the solution straight-forward and understandable to the user. Finally, the interface was simple and clean, showing that MATLAB is capable of more than just generating graphs and plots; it can be used to create worthwhile, easy-to-use tools.
