About Michael Kusnierek

Michael Kusnierek is a student at Duke University and is currently enrolled at the Pratt School of Engineering. He enjoys playing sports on the weekends and going to the Duke football games. Michael would like to be a mechanical engineer in the future and hopes to contribute to many of the global challenges we face today. While he college has given him a lot of work, he is enjoying his experience and meeting many new interesting people.

Hometown

Michael Kusnierek was born on the north shore of Long Island in a town called Manhasset. Manhasset is known for many thing including the setting for F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel, The Great Gatsby, and its excellent lacrosse program. While not a lacrosse player, Michael spent much of his time playing baseball for his high school, the Manhasset Indians. Some famous Manhasset residents include Bill O'Riley, Carson Daly, and Jose Reyes.

Name Pronunciation

While Michael's first name may be easy to pronounce, his last name has been known to give people trouble. His name can be properly recited as follows: MY-kull KUZ-ner-IK. With a polish heritage, his last name is fairly uncommon in the United States.
