About Me

I am a first-year undecided engineering major at Duke University.
I am currently employed on campus as a scorekeeper for intramural games.
Though, it seems only fitting that I have a love of math and science (due to the engineering major)
I also enjoy a wide variety of other hobbies and activities such as music, and art.

Grand Challenges Article

This article related to the Grand Challenge for Engineering of making solar power economical brings to light the idea of personal solar
power rather than the mass production of such power that has been in the forefront of the industry since its conception. It steers our
minds away from solar plants and into the world of solar clothing.

Next stop for solar cell technology: your clothing perhaps DPA, New York Times, Updated: September 12, 2011 08:53 IST, accessed 11 September 2014 (making solar power economical)

My Favorite Demo

My favorite of the Demonstrations in the Matlab Help section is that of the "Game of Life". It provides an entertaining perspective on cellular
behavior while also providing an interesting demonstration on how math and matrices can be used to model this behavior based on the surroundings
of the cells. The simplicity of the output coupled with what I assume to be the complexity of the code behind it is both entertaining and awe-inspiring
to me.
