Name Pronunciation
uh-LISS-uh le-VEEN. Like Alyssa. I'm not 100% sure how to pronounce my middle name since I don't know whether it has one syllable or two. It might be pronounced JACK-lin and it might be pronounced JACK-que-lin. I tend to say it with three syllables even though it appears to be spelled with two.
Favorite MATLAB Demo
3-D Drawing. Outlining a three-dimensional solid with just few points and using MATLAB to model what the solid would look like is a fascinating tool with many real-life applications. It serves as another example of a situation where a computer significantly lessens the amount of time necessary to complete a task. Plus, 3-D modeling looks cool.
