I am a student in the Pratt school of engineering at Duke university. I'm currently undertaking a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Physics, with plans to pursue a PhD in one of those two areas. I'm especially interested in space exploration and cosmology.

How to pronounce my name

My first and last names are pronounced essentially phonetically

• Tanner, like the profession
• Buck, like the male deer

My middle name (seldom used as middle names are) is a bit more interesting

• Alyn, pronounced like the compound that breaks down to give garlic its flavor (I'm guessing this name is from the miniscule amount of Welsh on my father's side)
