Nazim Duran
Malcolm Nazim Duran, often called Nazim Duran is a freshman at Duke University studying environmental engineering with a potential minor in economics.
Early Life
Nazim was born in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania on October 21, 2000 to the son of a Turkish father and an American mother. Nazim Duran then lived in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, where he would grow up.
Name Etymology & Pronunciation
The first name Malcolm was given by his mother after her grandfather, Malcolm Wilkinson. The name Nazim was given by his father after the Turkish poet Nazim Hikmet.
The pronunciation is Nah - zuhm Der - ahn.

Nazim attended Radnor High School, where he participated in various clubs, including:

- Track & Field
Following high school, Nazim was accepted at Duke University to the Pratt School of Engineering in the fall of 2018, to join the class of 2023.
