Background

I grew up in Northern New Jersey. My parents are from India, and I still have a lot of family there that I visit fairly often. Back home, I have a sister and a doberman named Gibbs, named after Mr. Gibbs from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. My favorite foods are burgers, mint chocolate chip ice cream, and Indian food. One fun fact about where I'm from is that James Gandolfini (the actor who played Tony Soprano) is from the town next to me.

Interests

I love to play basketball and tennis, and I'm really looking forward to seeing games in Cameron. I also enjoy going to the beach, hanging out with friends, and going to the movies. At Duke, I am looking forward to participating in Diya, Duke Health and Stem Connect, and participating in research in the future.
