My favorite MATLAB Demonstration (Assignment 2.4) was the "Game of Life" demonstration from the other examples section.  This demonstration was definitely not what I was expecting considering I thought that "Game of Life" meant something to do with the board game.  It took me a while, and a reading of the Info Section, to understand that this was about cellular biology.  It is also interesting to know that a representation of cellular biology can be created with matrices.

About Me

My name is Madison Danoff, and I am from Miami, FL. I'm majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a pre-med track. I hope to learn about engineering techniques in this EGR103 Course because I have never done any coding before, and I know how important it is for a career in engineering! I fell in love with Duke University the first time I visited a few years ago, and since then, it's been the only place I want to be! I am so happy to be here and excited about all of the amazing professors and opportunities.

Interests

In high school, I loved cheerleading, but now I have channeled that semi-athleticism into working out and running. I also have an interest in cancer research, and hope to learn more about that through Duke University. Baking is one of my favorite pastimes, and you can almost always find me in Southgate baking cookies, brownies, etc. on Sunday nights.

Cat or Dog Person?

I am definitely a cat person. I'm writing about this here because I just saw a picture of my cat, Paisley, and I really miss her! I hope to join the PAWS club here at Duke just because of how much I have always loved animals.
