Name Pronunciation
My name is Sergio Valdes. Some people use a the Spanish pronunciation (Ser-hi-oh Val-dehz), but I am used to just a normal reading of my name. Thus, my name would usually sound something like: Sir-gee-ohh Val-dehss.
About me
I was born in Florida, but I don't usually identify myself with one nationality. I am half Jamaican, half Mexican, and I have spent a majority of my life in Europe. I like to play tennis, hike, fish, dive, and spend cold evenings by a fire.
Current Course
I am currently enrolled in the Pratt School of Engineering and I am in the baseline Engineering course:
- EGR 103: Computational Methods in Engineering
Grand Challenges for Engineering Articles
One of the National Academy for Engineering Grand Challenges that sparks my interest is Providing Energy from Fusion. Below are a few articles on the matter.
