About Me

I am a freshman undergraduate at the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I am currently undecided, but my intended major is Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE). I am also thinking about a possible minor in Economics and fulfilling the Energy and Environment Certificate. I am originally from New York City, but I have been living in London, England, for the past 14 years, where I attended The American School in London.

Name Pronunciation

My name, "Evan Reilly," sounds like "EH-vin RYE-lee." I used to tell people that my last name was "O'Reilly." Pretty simple, really...

MATLAB Demonstrations

My favorite MATLAB demo this week was the graphics display of a penny that incorporated official data measurements of the mold used to mint a US penny. In addition to the ability to draw a simple contour plot, the user can also produce a pseudocolor plot with the Laplacian lighting model that produces an image that looks like a photograph of a penny.
