==Homework II: My Favorite Demonstration==
 +
Through all of the demonstrations in MATLAB Help Navigator, '''Viewing a Penny''' and '''Earth's Topography''' were my favorites, but if I'll have to choose between the two it would be the first one. Compared with other demonstrations these two had images from real life, in other words they were more ''concrete'' than the others.

About Me

My name is Yagmur Menzilcioglu and I am a first year student in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I am planning to major in Biomedical Engineering. I am also an international student, from Izmir, Turkey.

Name Pronunciation

I know, since my name, Yagmur, is in Turkish it looks very difficult. It is pronounced like the 'g' is silent, so it sound like "Yamur". Also my name means "rain" in Turkish. And my last name, Menzilcioglu is even difficult for people speaking Turkish to pronounce it, so I will choose to go with "Menzil" instead.

Courses

This fall I am taking four 1 credit courses and a 0.5 credit one:

  • 1 Credits:
  1. MATH 111: Laboratory Calculus I
  2. EGR 103: Computational Methods in Engineering
  3. WRITING 101: Who Cares and Why?
  4. CHEM 101: Core Concepts in Chemistry
  • 0.5 Credit:
  1. PHYSEDU 108: Pilates

Clubs

For now I have only signed up for Skiing & Snowboarding Team and Tennis Club which are both sports clubs. I am also planning to sign up for the Global Brigades, which is a global health club. So in general my clubs are:

  • Sports Clubs
  1. Ski & Snowboard Team
  2. Tennis Club
  • Service Club
  1. Global Brigades

Homework II: My Favorite Demonstration

Through all of the demonstrations in MATLAB Help Navigator, Viewing a Penny and Earth's Topography were my favorites, but if I'll have to choose between the two it would be the first one. Compared with other demonstrations these two had images from real life, in other words they were more concrete than the others.
