About Me
I am a student in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University planning to major in biomedical engineering. I was born in Pembroke Pines, Florida and went to University School of Nova Southeastern University for elementary, middle, and high school.
Personal Life
I am the daughter of Manuel and Maria Sanchez, both Cuban-born American citizens. They both grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts (which explains my sports teams preferences below). I have an older brother, Marcus, who has an Masters in Computer Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Pepper, my miniature schnauzer, is the final member of the immediate Sanchez family. I have lived in South Florida with my family since I was born.

Favorite MATLAB Demo
My favorite demo is Visualizing Sound. The command xpsound demonstrates MATLAB's sound capability. I learned from reading the demo that it is useful for viewing audio files graphically. I think it is interesting that a math program, like MATLAB, can easily translate audio files into graphics.
