There would be no error, but the program would never start. I noticed that when moused over, XWin32 said it was set to Display 1, which I think must be wrong. When I checked X-Config, under the Network tab, the display number is already set to 0. I can't figure out how to make XWin change what it says it is set to on the icon. In the mean time, I've been using another X Server, Xming, that I got from SourceForge. It has been working better, since I can now see xterm and MatLab running, but there's another problem. The bottom part of the MatLab window is just blank white, and the dropdown menus aren't working properly either. Also, when I tried running emacs, Xming didn't support the font, so it's definitely only a temporary fix. I'd appreciate any advice on how to get XWin32 back up and running properly, and how to not get this problem again in the future. Thanks!! UPDATE: XWin32 is at Display 0 again and everything is working today- I guess restarting my computer fixed it- but I would still like to know what might have caused this so I know not to do it again.
