About Me
I am a student in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I went to Hinsdale Central High School near Chicago, IL, where I grew up. I am a big fan of watching football and basketball, but I also love watching other sports. I've spent the last eight summers at YMCA Camp Tecumseh as a camper and a counselor.
Name Pronunciation
My name is pretty standard to pronounce. Charles or Charlie are common names. Gelman can be confused, but very simply, it's pronounced with a hard 'G' like 'Gray' not 'Gel' and it rhymes with the name of the giraffe in Madagascar- Melman.
Current Courses
This semester (Fall of 2017), I'm enrolled in:
- EGR 103
- Writing 101: Popularity of Podcasts
- Chem 101
- Math 212
