About Me
I am a student at Duke University planning on majoring in biomedical engineering. I referee for flag football and I am a member of Intervarsity at Duke.
Name Pronunciaton
It's pronounced pretty much as it is spelled, but I guess if I wanted to make it more clear I could say: GAIR-eht kel-EE.
Grand Challenges
Because this relates to my major, I found this article relating to the Grand Challenges for Engineering fascinating in its display of the specific applications of biological engineering to more broad engineering issues.

Favorite MATLAB Demo
Of the MATLAB demos my favorite was the Minesweeper Demo. I enjoyed this demo because I enjoy analytical, problem-solving games, and I play this game often on the computer. It was intriguing to look over the many complex arguments, functions, and other mechanisms that make up this seemingly simple game. I would not wish to be the programmer that writes programs for such games, and I sincerely hope that we will not be assigned such a daunting task in this class.
