Pronunciation of my name: Matth-ew Glas-wand (strongest stress is in my first name)

Demonstrations: My favorite demonstration was the one on the Loma Prieta Earthquake. I found the creation of the 3-D view in Matlab to create a model for the trajectory of the earthquake based on the position function to be the most interesting.  Although I didn't recognize many of the commands, after thinking about it for a little, I was able to figure them out such as the (step:end)command in the last graph.
