+ | The bending truss is by far my favorite demo. Not only is it amusing to watch it bounce, but it provides interesting insight into how bridge trusses undergo stress. I think I would be a little concerned if I ever saw a bridge bending, bouncing, or swaying like that. I'm sure it is a useful tool for calculating the stress on trusses. Bridges most likely do sway and bounce like that, but on a larger scale that isn't as noticeable due to the size of the bridge. |

Hello, I am Michael Reinsvold from the great "Show Me" state of Missouri. I am originally from California but I moved to Missouri around the age of two. Oh and no, I'm not from St. Louis as hard as that is to believe. I had a pretty typical high school tenure, i.e. soccer, basketball, NHS, stuco, musicals, and the like. I am currently a BME/pre-med. I fit the mold for the most stereotypical mold of a duke freshman.
