About Me/Learn to Pronounce My Name!
My name is Ranjani Sridhara. Yes, it's a complicated name..RUN-juh-nee SHREE-thuh-ra (the 'thuh' being how you say 'the' when you are not saying it like 'thee' but that's difficult to spell out!) is the easiest/correct way to pronounce it. And we can be friends even if you can't get my last name even close. I love sports, Ocean's 11, meeting new people, smoothies and puppies.
Goals at Duke?
To graduate. And earn a BSE in Biomedical Engineering with a possible minor in neuroscience. And to study abroad in Australia!
My Favorite MATLAB Demo!
I really liked both the tutorial on matrices that talked about the magic squares and the bridge (Bending Truss) demonstration. I liked the magic square because I had not really seen ALL the ways it was magical and I followed through the program with the tutorial and found it very interesting. I liked the Bending Truss demo because it was really different to see all the various ways a bridge could bend, not to mention the fact that the visual component of that can be programmed into MATLAB!
