Objectives
I have been immersed in a multicultural environment since I was born, living and going to school in Monaco, and spending every summer in U.S. From the beginning, computers, mechanics and technology have been a passion of mine. My goal is a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. At the same time, I would like to acquire entrepreneurship skills and teamwork experience in a corporate environment.
Education
- Duke University Pratt School of Engineering, BS planned 2014.
- The Lycée Albert 1er of Monaco, concentrating in Math and Science, plus intensive English language, literature and culture in the "International Option" American Section:
- French International Option Baccalaureate, with “High Honors”, 2010
- National Middle School Diploma International Option, with a "High Honors”, 2007
- Certificate of Information Technology and Internet, level 2, 2007
- The National Music Academy of Monaco, five Diplomas in music and music theory, over 10 years of Saxophone.
- Fully fluent in both French and English. Intermediate Spanish and basic Chinese.
Experience
- Albertsen Informatique: installation, configuration and troubleshooting of workstations and servers, 2007 to present.
- Lecture to 11th grade students on "How to design and present an effective presentation with appropriate multimedia tools", 2009.
- Junior year science project on the theme: The future of solar energy: constructed two solar vehicles.
- The Loudoun County Aeromodelers Association (LCAA), building and flying radio controlled airplanes and Helicopters, as a qualified pilot, since 2004.
- The Printemps des arts de Monte-Carlo 2005, creation and composition of computer based electro-acoustical music with “Reason 4”.
- The Reston Association summer camps, counselor since 2007. Special commendation from the camp director.
Volunteer Work
- Humanitarian project in Bosnia with an NGO: distributed food and clothing to families there and performed magic shows for children, 2007.
- Played as a soloist in ten charity concerts to raise money for organizations such as the Fianarantsoa Dispensary of Madagascar, Monaco Christian Fellowship, and Princess Stephanie's association "Fight Aids", 2004 to present.
- Trained and educated two seeing eye dogs, The Pierre Aicard Foundation, 2006-2008.
Extracurricular Activities
- Over ninety saxophone performances on various stages, with more than 25 as soloist. Specially selected (1 out of 100) to be soloist in the "Festival de l’Anche" concert, in Nice, 2008.
- Tae Kwon Do “Black Belt”, August 2009.
- Finalist, among 120 enthusiasts, in the "pitch" competition for Didier van Cauwelaert (French "Prix Goncourt"), for the future movie "Hors de Moi", 2008.
- 1st prize in school’s photo competition, 2007.
- Marine Driver's License and Red-Cross First Aid Certification, 2009.
Favorite MATLAB Demo
My favorite Demo was the Minesweeper demo even though it's terribly slow over the internet. I've lost so much time playing that game!
