I plan on majoring in Civil Engineering, but remain very open to other types before I formally declare. So far, my favorite (and easiest) class is Linear Algebra. Hi!

My name is Zofia Chmiel (Zo-fee-uh Shmail) and I'm a current freshman in the Duke Pratt School of Engineering. I am from Weston, Connecticut - a small town just over an hour from New York City. I plan on majoring in Civil Engineering, but remain very open to other types before I formally declare. So far, my favorite (and easiest) class is Linear Algebra. I've also gotten involved with the Society of Women Engineers, Duke Engineers for Societal Development, American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Club Swim team. My favorite parts of Duke have to be Ginger & Soy, puppy kindergarten, my orientation leaders, my dorm house, and my roommate.
