About me
Hello! I am a first year student at Duke -- I am considering majoring in some field of engineering and mathematics. I most strongly lean towards biomedical engineering (I really like bioelectricity and imaging systems), but I am keeping an open mind!
Name Pronunciation
This section is merely a formality; I really don't see how an English speaking person in the United States can mess up the name 'Ella'. Most people struggle with spelling my last name when they hear it, rather than pronouncing my last name when seeing it.
Grand Challenges in Engineering
Now for the real reason I am here -- my EGR103 assignment:
- Q&A: Reverse engineering the human brain by growing neural circuits in the lab, Nicholas Weiler, Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute, January 21, 2022, accessed February 10, 2023 (Reverse-Engineering the Brain)
- Improving Drug Development and Patient Access With the Right People, Processes, and Culture: What Needs to Happen Right Now to Bring Better Medicines to the Patients Who Need Them, Alberto Grignolo & Albert Siu, PAREXEL International Corp, 2019, accessed February 11, 2023 (Engineering Better Medicines)
