I think that the goal to get clean water is extremely important for obvious reasons. This challenge works on figuring out a solution to develop a solution that would provide clean water to developing countries and people in need. This would prevent sickness and death that come from drinking unclean water.

One of the more interesting aspects of this discovery to me is the possibility of focal stimulation becoming a more plausible therapy for some neurological diseases. Such therapies would ideally have fewer and less serious side effects then the current methods of electroconvulsive therapy and drug therapies that target the entire brain.
