My favorite MATLAB demonstration is the 3-D drawing. I find it fascinating that you can just enter a shape and the program will turn it into a 3D shape. I can see how useful this is in the real world for creating devices in any engineering field. I hope I have the chance to use the 3D drawing for real one day.

About Me

My name is Jake Turchetta and I am a prospective BME major in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I am in the Class of 2018 and I'm originally from Harvard, Massachusetts.

Name Pronunciation

My name is pronounce "JAY-ke TUR-ket-ta." "Turchetta" is italian which is why the 'ch' is pronounced like a 'k.'

Current Courses

For the Fall semester of 2014, I am taking: EGR103, Chemistry 110, Multivariable Calculus (212), and Abnormal Psychology (105).

Jobs and Hobbies

I am currently a volunter Nationally Registered EMT on Harvard Ambulance Service, a local ambulance squad in Harvard, MA. I have been working at HAS for just over two years now and I hope to continue running calls during college breaks.

I also work as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Westborough, MA. Whittier is an LTACH (Long-Term Acute Care Hospital) and I started work in June of 2014.
