About Me

I am a current freshman at Duke University[1] and a graduate from Millburn High School[2] in New Jersey, the same high school as Anne Hathaway[3]. I have an interest in the field of Mechanical Engineering that resulted from my love of high school physics.

Name Pronunciation

Although my name is pronounced exactly the way it is spelled, that does not mean that most people pronounce it correctly. It is pronounced "DAY-vid TAL-pull-ar," if that is of any help.

Current Courses

For the Fall of 2014 I am enrolled in four courses:

    1. EGR 103
    2. Math 212
    3. Econ 201
    4. Philosophy 101

Projects

  • I am currently laboring through Lab 3 in EGR 103
    • This takes up all my time, and so I have no time for other projects

Anything Else?

  • I am an avid sports fan. I support the following teams:
    • Baltimore Orioles[4] (Baseball)
    • Washington Redskins[5] (Football)
    • Liverpool F.C.[6] (Soccer)
    • And of course, all Duke sports teams

Homework 2

My favorite demonstration was Mathematics: Differential Equations.

  • Why?
  1. This demonstration shows you how to clearly and easily create graphs
  2. Differential equations are a critical math concept, and they are the focal point of this demonstration
  3. When combining numbers 1. and 2., I now know how to easily graph differential equations, which is an incredibly useful tool.
