About Me
I am currently a freshman at the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University and I'm working towards getting a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. I was born in Bangalore, India and moved to the USA when I was about one and a half years old. My family moved around from city to city until we finally settled in Cary, North Carolina, where we've been living for the past eleven years. Before coming to Duke, I lived with my parents, my younger brother, and my adorable dog, Sonia.
Name Pronunciation
My full name is Aishwarya Nag. Luckily, I have a nickname that is far easier to pronounce: Aishu. Phonetically speaking, one would say my name as "EYE-shoe Nog". It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that I've heard over a hundred different versions of both my full name and my nickname, the most common one being the sneezing noise that many Spanish teachers have enjoyed making before calling on me in class. If nothing else, it gets a laugh.

MATLAB Demonstrations
My favorite MATLAB demonstration was Earth's Topography. I enjoyed all three versions: the Contour Plot, the 2-Image Plot, and especially the 3-D Plot, which was the globe. I really found it amazing that those images and graphics could be created just by typing lines of code. I'm very excited to know what I'll be able to create in the future using MATLAB!
