About Me
I was born and raised in Bay Area, near San Francisco, California. I went to Dougherty Valley High School and now I am a freshman at Duke. My plan is to major in ECE and minor finance. I also love to travel! My family comes from India, and I love and enjoy my culture. I am the only child,so yes I am a spoiled brat!
Current Courses
For the Fall 2013 semester I am taking
- EGR 103: Computational Methods in Engineering
- CHEM 101: Core Concepts of Chemistry
- MATH 212: Multivariable Calculus
- ECON 201: Intermediate Microeconomics
Interests
I have multiple interests that I am passionate about. I love to dance and sing to Bollywood music and hip-hop, but only when no one else is watching. I love to read, but more than that I love to tell and hear stories of all different kinds. I am also a very social person, so the more I am able to talk, the better!
Grand Challenge
The Grand Challenge a competition that Duke engineer students take part in and come up with innovative ideas.
Most Interesting Part of Matlab
The graphical aspect, specifically showing the earth's topography, was most interesting. As we have already learned in Matlab, it is possible to plot functions and then create points/store data and then transfer them to a graph. The graph/plot is actually a contour map , in which the points are plotted at zero altitude. Many of the times, the topography can be displayed using colored lines.
