I am a student in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University planning to major in biomedical engineering. I was born in Pembroke Pines, Florida and went to University School of Nova Southeastern University for elementary, middle, and high school. I am the daughter of Cuban-born parents and have an older brother, Marcus, who has a Masters in Computer Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. My parents grew up in Boston, which explains my favorite sports teams listed below.

Favorite MATLAB Demo
My favorite demo is Visualizing Sound. The command xpsound demonstrates MATLAB's sound capability. I learned from reading the demo that it is useful for viewing audio files graphically. I think it is interesting that a math program, like MATLAB, can easily translate audio files into graphics.
