About Me
I am a Freshmen at Duke University, currently enrolled in Pratt. I hope to study biomedical engineering, but I am still open to the options of majoring in mechanical and/or electrical-computer engineering.
Name
My name is Yitaek, but it’s pronounced like “E-tech.” In Korean, there is little difference in the pronunciation between “yi” and “e” so either way is fine.
Interests
I love playing basketball and snowboarding. I’m from Seattle so I love the Seahawks, the Mariners, and, of course, the Sonics (even if they don’t exist anymore). I am really interested in studying prosthetics, because I did FIRST Robotics in high school and I want to use robotics to help others.
Grand Challenges for Engineering
I found an article on preventing nuclear terror, which is a part of the Grand Challenges for Engineering.

MATLAB Demonstration
The 3-D Drawing Demo was my favorite. It allows me to visualize volume by rotation, so it will be useful for calculus if I ever need to do volume problems again. Also, I have some experience with 3D modeling so 3D drawings in MATLAB was interesting to me.
