About me

I am a freshman in Trinity School at Duke but I guess I will transfer to Pratt this fall. Mechanical Engineering seems to be a really good choice for me!

My Name

I will go by Max Wang pronounced as /mæks waŋ/

Grand Challenges

Make solar energy economical:
Harnessing Nature's Solar Cells, David L. Chandler, MIT News Office, updated 3 Feb 2012, accessed 4 Feb 2012
U.S. Firms Working to Lower Cost of Solar Energy, Renee Schoof, McClatchy Newspapers, updated 11 March 2010, accessed 23 January 2012.

MATLAB Demostrations

3-D Plots under Graphic is my favorite MATLAB demonstration. It shows colorful 3-D plots of certain 3-D shapes which are really difficult to visualize.I believe that MATLAB is a powerful graph-plotting tool in assisting the study of mathematics especially on topics involved spaces (such as multivariable calculus).

Something Interesting

I am often intrigued by certain amazing pictures which are closely linked with mathematics. For example:
