Out of all the MATLAB demos, my favorite was the 3D Surface Plots demo.  I always thought these plots just looked really cool in general, and now I'm learning about them in calc.  I also have to admit, the inner ski bum in me loves the way these plots look like mountains.

Personal Information (Who am I anyway?)

My name is Alex Kunycky. I'm a freshman in Pratt and loving Duke so far! I think I want to study mechanical engineering, and I am interested in econ, Japanese, and environmental science and energy too.

My last name is Ukrainian, it's not too hard to pronounce but it can be hard to read it the first time. Don't worry, you can just call me Alex, but just in case it's all pronounced A-lecks KUH-nuh-kee.

I like playing soccer, skiing and snowboarding, surfing, and just hanging out with friends. I live in Alspaugh and I'm on the ski team (I know, Duke has a ski team? It's legit.)

MATLAB Demo Preference (Does this really deserve its own section?)

Out of all the MATLAB demos, my favorite was the 3D Surface Plots demo. I always thought these plots just looked really cool in general, and now I'm learning about them in calc. I also have to admit, the inner ski bum in me loves the way these plots look like mountains.

Grand Challenges of Engineering Article (The World Is Just Awesome)

I found a cool article about the Joint European Torus fusion reactor - check it out:
