+ | My favorite demonstrations fell under the category of 3-D Visualization. I was very impressed with the multitude of ways that MATLAB was able to display an object. It is very helpful for engineers to be able to visualize an object and view it from different perspectives. I enjoyed the Teapot and Klein Bottle demonstrations and had fun playing with all the different settings of color, material, and style. I thought that the Changing Transparency Demo showed off the many things that MATLAB can do with data. The different settings allowed different aspects of the data to be viewed and analyzed, which is extremely important when an engineer is working on a project and needs to understand the data from all perspectives. The Volume Visualizer also demonstrated how well MATLAB is able to display the same data in various ways. This demo further showed how MATLAB is able to present the same data in different ways which is helpful to engineers and scientists who need to analyze data from more than one perspective. Also, it is sometimes easier to understand data when it is visually represented rather than mathematically represented. MATLAB allows a person to transform numbers and equations into something more tangible. |

I am a student at Duke University, in the Pratt School of Engineering, class of 2015. I grew up in Great Neck, New York, and graduated from Great Neck South High School in 2011. I intend to major in either mechanical engineering or civil engineering. I enjoy swimming, reading, going to concerts and hanging out with friends. I also enjoy American history and the outdoors.

Demonstrations
My favorite demonstrations fell under the category of 3-D Visualization. I was very impressed with the multitude of ways that MATLAB was able to display an object.
