About Me
I was born in Michigan. I lived for four and a half years with my parents and younger brother in Europe (France, Belgium, Germany and England). We moved back to Michigan and I earned my high school diploma at Detroit Country Day. I am currently a freshman at Duke University.
I am sucker for all Indian films (Bollywood, Kollywood and Tollywood).
I love to travel, play soccer, dance, eat (especially chocolate), and collect the stuffed animals sold only at IKEA.
Name Pronunciation
The formal way of pronouncing my given name Jahanavi Ramakrishna (my dad misspelled my first name on my birth certificate by adding an extra a after the h) is "JAH-na-vi ra-MA-krish-NA. My family, friends and most often acquaintances call me Janu, "JA-nu".

Favorite MATLAB Demo: Earth's Topography
My favorite MATLAB demo is Earth's Topography because it shows different plotting techniques and each figure that comes up gets progressively exact in its portrayal of the Earth. I especially enjoyed the third figure, a globe. I also liked the fact that there was a visible color difference between terrains.
