This page is meant to help visualize how voltage division and current division work. It is a work in progress!
Voltage Division
Steps
- Clearly write the equivalent resistance as seen by the two nodes across which the total voltage drop is known. This will help clarify how the voltage can be divided.
- Use voltage division on the equivalent resistance as necessary.
- Repeat if there are subnodes where re-division is required.
