About Me
I am a first-year student at Duke University confused on what I want to major in, but most likely MechE or ECE. Born and raised outside Detroit, Michigan, with parents Rosemary and Raymond Klimas. Youngest of 7 siblings, from oldest to youngest (Will Gaines, Catherine Gaines, Steven Gaines, Sheilah Gaines, Raymond Klimas, Brendan Klimas).
Name Pronunciation
Originally Klimaszewski (KLI-ma-shev-SKI), but shortened in the 1940s because of racism towards polish immigrants. It is now Klimas pronounced KLI-mass, with the first syllable sounding like CLIMB and the second ASS, like the domestic animal in the horse family.
